Surf had a Low of 79°, high of 85° with an average of 82.5°, 1.6° above normal. Sound had a Low of 82° and high of 87°and an average of 85.2°. July surf temperatures were fairly flat with a very slight positive slope. Ditto for Bogue Sound temperatures. Check out the graph, blue diamonds are the surf, red squares are the sound temperatures. By the way, July was another a fairly dry month after the deluge of May and June. We are already up to 9-named storms by the end of July.
