Emerald Isle Water Temps for April 2024
Again, despite the weather ups-and-downs, water temps were again above normal and for the first time this year both surf and sound averaged above 60° as temps increased throughout the month. Surf ranged from a Low of 60° to a High of 68° (8° range) and averaging 64.2° +/- 2.8. Bogue Sound had a very wide range from a low 58° to a high of 75° (17° range…WOW) averaging 66.5° +/-4.5°. Surf temps are blue diamonds (with a positive slope of + 0.29°/day), sound are red squares.
